The Caring Connections Community Resources Program offers support to families by referring them to resources and agencies that can help. The goals of this program are to protect children, keep families intact and build family self-sufficiency. This program utilizes the Principles of Family Support Practice developed by Family Support America in working with families. All program services are free, voluntary, and information is kept confidential.

The Caring Connections Community Resources phone line is available to help families who need emergency childcare, connection to community resources, or someone to help.

The Community Resouces Program works with a variety of providers located throughout Clark County to find a provider that will be close to the family. Providers are located throughout Vancouver, Washougal, Battleground, and other outlying areas.

These providers include licensed childcare centers, licensed family day care (in the provider's home), and trained crisis care providers who can go directly into the family's home. All care is intended to be short-term and help the family work through their immediate concerns by connecting to a reliable childcare provider or other service.

Phone calls are generally accepted between 8am and 8pm, Monday through Friday. A Family Support Specialist who is trained to assist you in your time of need will answer or return your call as soon as possible.
