The 6th Annual Caring Heart Awards Dinner

The 6th Annual Caring Heart Awards Dinner was held Saturday, March 29, 2008 at The Heathman Lodge. It was a wonderful evening celebrating individuals and organizations who have amply shown their caring nature in the financial support, advocacy and leadership for people who have disabilities or other disadvantages. The keynote address was a viewing of our new organization video with music written especially for Innovative Services NW by Caring Heart Award winner and renowned R&B/Soul musician, Patrick Lamb and Christine Yvette.

During the course of the evening, there were announced gifts from Safeway ($12,000 from Safeway employee payroll deductions) and The Heathman Lodge Helping Hands ($500). More than 200 guests attended the event and 31 Spring Baskets were sold in the silent auction raising $2,460. More than $27,600 worth of bricks sales were announced/purchased during the evening for "The Journey of Hope" Courtyard of the Mary Firstenburg Family Center, the future home of Innovative Services NW. This brings the total for brick sales to $83,745, half of which goes to support the operations budget of Innovative Services NW.
