Innovative Services NW's Case Aid Program
The Case Aide Program provides one-on-one assistance to youth whose behaviors or developmental needs cannot be managed in a foster home or family-setting without additional assistance. Families requiring Case Aide Services are referred under a contract through the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
What Does a Case Aide Worker Provide?
The Case Aide Worker:
- Ensures the safety and security of the client and the community through one-on-one supervision
- Maintains client confidentiality
- Collaborates with therapist, social worker, teachers and family to implement case plan
- Provides crisis intervention, support and advocacy
- Teaches clients appropriate boundaries
- Serves as a positive role model
- Maintains documentation
- Establishes helping relationships with client and families
- Provides advocacy for the client's needs
- Transports youth to scheduled appointments
