At Innovative, we believe that high-quality early learning begins with exceptional educators and teachers who create inclusive, engaging, and supportive spaces for every child. This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight two incredible teachers, DeShaya Brown and Hannah O’Donnell, whose experience, expertise, and passion have made lasting impacts in our classrooms.
DeShaya Brown

DeShaya Brown, lead teacher in our Cottonwood ECEAP classroom, is a champion for inclusion and individualized learning. Having worked with children her entire life, DeShaya has a natural ability to understand the root causes of behavior and adapt her teaching strategies to ensure every student feels supported. Her connection to Innovative began when her son received pediatric therapy through our programs—an experience that inspired her to pursue a career in early learning. She joined our team while earning her associate degree in Early Childhood Education and is now continuing her studies in children’s mental health. Beyond the classroom, DeShaya is a trusted resource for families, offering support in finding affordable sports programs, therapy services, and other resources to help children thrive. With a fun, colorful, and consistent teaching style, she is committed to helping each child grow with confidence while also building strong relationships with families to support development both in and outside the classroom.
Hannah O'Donnell

Hannah O’Donnell, a lead teacher in our toddler classroom, has been part of the Innovative team for nearly five years, bringing patience, warmth, and engagement to her students. Inspired by her younger brother’s experience receiving services at Innovative, Hannah felt drawn to early learning and found a place where she could truly make an impact. She loves how children see the world through honesty and curiosity, and she ensures that each child in her classroom feels seen, heard, and valued. By fostering an inclusive, welcoming space, she helps children build confidence, develop friendships, and embrace their unique learning styles. Hannah also prioritizes strong partnerships with families, believing that collaboration between teachers and parents are key to a child’s success. Hannah recently earned her associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and is now continuing her studies at Washington State University, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Development, specializing in Family Studies.
We are proud to foster a diverse team of educators who are committed to lifelong learning and inclusive teaching practices. Our Early Learning program is built on the belief that every child deserves high-quality education and support, and it is teachers like DeShaya and Hannah who bring that vision to life every day.
