Vicki, a participant in Innovative’s Employment Services program, is celebrating her new position at a local retail store, which is her first real job! Vicki is in her 60’s and was born with a developmental disability. She’s spent much of her time travelling, and though employment isn’t required for her support, Vicki feels that employment has given her a sense of self-worth and independence. She didn’t attend grade school or college, but with the help of Innovative’s Employment Services program, has found a position that she’s excited about. Employment Specialist, Carolynn, said that Vicki’s new coworkers really love having her around, “She’s so bright and enthusiastic, and always excited to go to work!”
