Pediatric physical therapists are professionals who work with children who have a general developmental delay or a specific genetic, neurological, and/or orthopedic disorders that impact their ability to participate in everyday activities. Our pediatric physical therapists seek to assist the children in our community by addressing a variety of needs related to functional independence in all aspects of the child’s life. The pediatric physical therapist seeks to improve balance, coordination, posture, and overall quality of movement. Therapy may also strengthen muscle groups, improve range of motion and address joint instability. This leads to greater acquisition of gross motor skills such as head control, crawling, standing, walking and running.
