Barry is thriving in his new position at Craft Warehouse, where he’s part of a supportive team. He’s been a participant of Innovative’s Employment Services program since 1991. Not only has he vastly improved his interview skills since working with Innovative, he’s also gained a great deal of experience for his resume in positions like production worker, auto detail assistant, and mobile lunch delivery service worker. Barry also worked for C-TRAN for 21 years as a hostler, cleaning buses, but struggled when a schedule change required him to work the night shift. In October 2016, Barry was hired at the new Craft Warehouse in Hazel Dell as a janitor. He does a fabulous job keeping their store neat and tidy, and is always in search of more to do above and beyond his own daily tasks. Barry’s Job Coach, Daniel, is thrilled at how well Barry fits into their team, “I’ve never seen a job site so amazingly supportive of a participant.” Barry’s thoroughness and enthusiasm even earned him special employee recognition in January!
His manager, Tina, has enjoyed having Barry on her team. He is a constant reminder that EVERYDAY is a good day,” she said, “He is part of the Craft Warehouse Family.”
